AMY SISOMSOUK

Hi, My Name is Amy Sisomsouk, and I am the dispatcher here for A&R. I am normally the first person you speak to when you call the office. I love talking to people and getting to know them. I am a very friendly and outgoing person. I have a very bubbly personality and can talk for hours at a time. I love to make people laugh and try to put a smile on everyone’s face.

I was born in Thailand and came to the States when I was approximately eight months old. My parents settled in Amarillo in 1989 and worked for IBP for over 28 years now known as Tyson. They are now retired and enjoying life in California.  Growing up my parents realized our need to speak English at home. And I quickly caught on, learning to speak and read extensively in English, from The Berenstain Bears to Shel Silverstein to Nancy Drew to Magic Tree House. I became enraptured with writing, plastering my short stories all over the refrigerator until it looked like a giant block of scribbles. I graduated from Randall High School in 2006 and have an Associates Degree in General studies from Amarillo College.

I started my first job as a busser at the age of 15 to help my parents financially. I quickly moved my way up in the restaurant business and became a front of house manager by the time I was 19. A&R, is where I learned the value of customer service. I left the restaurant business and started working in the construction business. I worked for a general contractor for seven years as an administrative assistant.  Now I am currently employed by A&R and have been here for almost four years

On top of a full-time job, I have three beautiful children ages 11, 9, and 6. They are my world. I am heavily active in the PTA, sports, and school functions. If I’m not playing taxi between my three kids, I like to enjoy my time at the gym or playing outside.
