LOOKING FOR A PLUMBER IN AMARILLO?
DON’T IGNORE SMALL PLUMBING LEAKS
Look for any sort of moisture or corrosion on all exposed pipes under your sinks and behind toilet tanks. This could mean there is a slow plumbing leak in the pipes. Also, monitor the water pressure on all faucets and how fast the water drains after you test the faucet. Large variations in pressure could mean a leak somewhere. Lastly, check for leaks at the base of your toilets after flushing. Making time for a DIY home inspection can save you money and help prevent plumbing catastrophes down the road! Our team of Amarillo plumbers are here to help.

AMARILLO PLUMBING – PREVENT FROZEN PIPES
Winter doesn’t just bring cold weather. It brings frozen pipes. Freezing water turns into ice within the pipe, causing it to expand and block the line, making for some Amarillo plumbing nightmares. Make sure to take preventative measures before the winter months arrive. In order to avoid frozen pipes and the damage that comes along with them, identify where the trouble lies. Pipes more prone to freezing include pipes in unheated areas of the home and pipes in exterior walls or along the exterior of the home.
To prevent your pipes from freezing, leave cabinet doors open under sinks so heat can circulate around uninsulated pipes. Insulate pipes in unheated areas, outside walls, in garages and basements. Turn on the heat and set no lower than 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
If your pipes happen to freeze, our technicians are ready to help. We use professional pipe-thawing equipment to resolve issues before any damage occurs.
